SINO-TURKISH COOPERATION - IMPACT ON THE TURKISH ENERGY AND TRANSPORT SECTOR

This thesis investigates the sustainability and benefits of Sino-Turkish cooperation within the Turkish energy and transport sectors. Through the application of concepts such as "energy security" and "environmentally sustainable transport" the research results can be presented coherently along firm boundaries. Increasing Chinese influence seems to be beneficial for Turkey to achieve its 2023 goals of becoming an important energy and transport hub. However, the aspired ecological sustainability of the cooperation is endangered through the use of traditional sources of energy and transport.
