BEYOND THE BIOPOLITICS OF REPRODUCTION: An Analysis of the Abortion Rights Movement and the Feminist Struggle for Sexual and Reproductive Rights in Argentina

This research aims to examine the impact of the abortion rights movement on Argentinian society in the feminist struggle for the legalization of abortion and the broader demand for the recognition of sexual and reproductive rights. The findings of this research are based on several semi-structured interviews with female scholars and members of women's and/or feminist organizations carried out in the period of September-October 2020. It considers the concepts of biopolitics and feminist activism to assess the strategies, objectives, obstacles, and achievements of the abortion rights movement.
