In deze scriptie wordt aan de hand van de semantiek van zuiverheid, onzuiverheid en reiniging, onderzocht wat deze semantiek filosofisch te betekenen heeft. Dit onderzoek wordt gedaan door deze semantiek te bestuderen zoals deze in het nationalsozialistisches Deutsch (NS-Deutsch) is aan te wijzen. Hierbij wordt gebruik gemaakt van met het Duitse nationaalsocialisme contemporaine bronnen en vervolgens ook van bronnen van latere datum. De normatieve relevantie van de gevonden betekenis wordt getoetst op haar actualiteit.
