The Story of the Zodiac in Late-Antique Synagogues in Palestine

This thesis examines the zodiac motif dispayed in the mosaic floors in five Late-Antique synagogues in Palestine. It describes historical and social context in order to determine the relationship between the zodiac motif and the Second Commandment.
