- The thesis aims to delve the concrete reasons that pushed Suez's inhabitants to rise up first against Mubarak's brutal dictatorship and what the expectations are as regards the New Suez Canal concerning the social matter. All through the thesis, it is expressed a clear theory whereby there was a reversal in the city from a nationalist culture of resistance to a social culture of resistance.
