FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF MUNICIPAL WORKFORCE: INTEGRATION OF GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

The research focuses on how public organizations -with the municipality of Amsterdam as a case study- can prepare their workforce to integrate emerging technologies, specifically generative artificial intelligence (AI). The findings are based on a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews, focus groups and policy analysis, and are summarized in four pillars. The structure of these pillars introduces a framework that enables public organizations to streamline the integration of emerging technologies and best prepare their workforce for digital transformation.
