Controlling hysteron interactions with geometry

The sequential response of driven frustrated media can be modeled using hysteretic bistable elements called hysterons. This response can be harnessed to produce memory effects and computation. For this, interactions between hysterons are vital. Here, we introduce a method to experimentally tune these interactions using geometry using a trigonal hub structure. This allows us to numerically predict how the interactions will change, making a great step towards more complex computational abilities in hysteron systems.
