The article examines the use of social media during crisis events. In this particular case, the focus is on the use of Twitter in meaning-making processes during terrorist attacks in Paris and Brussels. The article examines how visual material in the form of images was used on Twitter in order to create counter-discourses alongside the dominant discourse.
