‘Fuckin Abbot’: An Analysis of Modern Swear Words in Their Historical Contexts

This thesis covers the history of 6 swear words. The changes each word underwent are discussed by analysing the etymologies and social statusses. This thesis shows how swear words have changed in the English language and how future research can improve upon this.
