Theoloog, filosoof, psycholoog? Emoties in Gregorius van Nyssa's De Anima et Resurrectione

In zijn Dialogus de Anima et Resurrectione houdt Gregorius van Nyssa een vurig pleidooi voor het voortbestaan van de ziel na de dood à la Plato's Phaedo, én voor de christelijke doctrine van de wederopstanding in het lichaam. In deze scriptie heb ik onderzocht hoe Gregorius zijn standpunten uitlegt en verdedigt door een soort filosofische 'pick and mix'-methode te hanteren. Zijn behandeling van emoties vormt de focus van een close reading van deze dialoog, omdat die zijn positie als denker op het snijvlak van antieke en vroeg-christelijke filosofie goed illustreert.
