In this light the “idea of continuity” vís- a-vís gender-based violence throughout the socio-political history of South Africa will be discussed. Human Rights Framework will be introduced so as to provide the reader with an understanding of the dynamics exhibited by various oppressive groups. Human Rights Theory will thus be drawn upon to further demonstrate the role played by various existing contextual conditions exist that play a role in the subjugation of black South African Women.Show less
