Dit onderzoek analyseert de juridische maritieme regels over de soevereiniteit van economische exploitatie aan de hand van het geschil tussen Argentinië en het Verenigd Koninkrijk die door partijen respectievelijk Malvinas en Falklands genoemd worden. Beide landen zijn bevinden zich in een eeuwigdurende discussie en de laatste 30 jaar lijkt het Verenigd Koninkrijk aan de winnende hand te zijn.
