This thesis examines the influence of the Kashmir conflict on Pakistan's political role in the War on Terror. It argues that there exists a counterterrorist gap in the War on Terror due to the spill-over effects of the Kashmir conflict. This has resulted into Pakistan's ambiguous role in the post-9/11 period, which in turn explains the security threat.Show less
