It explores the ways in which Van Emde Boas not only described but actively shaped Dutch sexual and gender norms between 1950 and 1980. In doing so, this thesis attempts to give insight into the complex and contradictory ways in which the position and authority of psychiatrists in the sexual domain changed during these decades.Show less
