Previous scholarship has been occupied with assessing the severity and creating a categorization system, without sufficiently investigating the main drivers behind the policies. Moreover, western academics have overlooked important data localization practices, due to an exagerated focus on personal data and privacy. As a consequence, other types of data localization, such as that of spatial data in the ROK, has been neglected in academia.Show less
