There were 24 children participated in this study. Their average age was 85 months. Two intervention groups read an e-book in which the story was read by a tutor. In one e-book the tutor was in the picture and took care of dynamic sounds and effects. In the other e-book the tutor was not in the picture and this e-book contained no sounds or effects. In the control group children read independently an e-book. All three e-books have a positive effect on reading fluency of poor readers. From this study it can be concluded that e-books can be used to provide support to poor readers in developing their reading fluency.Show less
